My mother is from Norway and she makes this delicious cream cake for almost all of our birthdays (if she doesn't make a chocolate cake with 10 different kinds of chocolate... and rum). She's adapted this traditional Norwegian recipe over the years and here's her take on it:

My featured Etsy shop today is 'Max & Olivia'. I recently purchased supplies from this lovely shop for Emmy's birthday party. I spent so much time looking through the beautiful photos in the shop before making my decision of getting some wooden utensils and brown craft bags for party favors.
I recommended the shop to my friend who is having a wedding in a couple months and she's ordered some things too.

Our little girl is turning one next month, and my heart starts to flutter just thinking about it. Wow, this year has gone by very quickly. We're planning a teepee party for Emmy, and I've been working on the invites. These will be made customizable from my etsy shop soon!
